Case study: Peter

The situation

Peter is in his 40s. Kind, thoughtful—and totally stuck. He kept saying yes when he meant no. Especially with family he held back his truth and avoided conflict. On the surface, things looked fine. But inside, he often felt like he didn’t belong. He kept asking, “Why can’t I speak up?” , “What’s wrong with me?”,  " I can't go on like this - I want to be able to stand up for myself".

The approach

I didn’t try to 'fix' Peter. We worked together to help him feel safe, grounded and able to speak up for himself. We focused on the three areas that needed the most work.

The shift

Three months in, Peter stopped shrinking in family conversations and he said no with less guilt and fewer words. He felt stronger in his body—more solid, more present. he shared, “I finally feel like I belong in my own life”.
